Mechille Johnson is the Founder and Executive Director of Chances 4 Change, a reentry resource center dedicated to supporting justice-involved individuals in South Los Angeles. Having personally experienced incarceration, addiction, and homelessness, Mechille understands the profound challenges faced by returning citizens and is deeply committed to breaking the cycle of recidivism and instability.

With a passion for advocacy and peer-driven support, Mechille established Chances 4 Change as a one-stop hub providing comprehensive, evidence-based, and client-centered reintegration services. The organization addresses critical barriers such as healthcare access, job readiness, education, and stable housing;ensuring that individuals reentering society are met with the resources needed to succeed.

Taking her mission a step further, Mechille also founded Pathways 2 Stability, a transitional home designed to provide returning citizens with safe, structured housing as they rebuild their lives. This initiative offers a supportive living environment where individuals can focus on personal growth, securing employment, and achieving long-term stability.

Through Chances 4 Change and Pathways 2 Stability, Mechille leads initiatives that include case management, employment preparation, housing stabilization, behavior modification, skill development, and peer mentoring. Her lived experience fuels her mission to empower returning citizens, helping them reclaim their lives with dignity, stability, and opportunity.

At Pathways 2 Stability, our mission is to provide safe, supportive, and empowering transitional housing for individuals reentering society after incarceration. We are committed to fostering stability, personal growth, and community reintegration by offering a structured environment, access to critical resources, and a network of support.

Through compassion, guidance, and collaboration with community partners, we strive to break cycles of homelessness and recidivism, empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and build a brighter, more stable future.

Pathways 2 Stability envisions a future where barriers to reintegration are removed, fostering a society that values second chances, personal transformation, and long-term success.
